Major natural gas infrastructure projects have been inaugurated in Assam, including the commencement of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply in Mangaldai and new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities in Tezpur.
Implemented by North East Gas Distribution Company Limited, the projects aim to expand access to clean and eco-friendly fuel for households, commercial establishments, and vehicles.
The initiative is expected to strengthen Assam’s energy infrastructure, reduce dependence on conventional fuels, and support the transition towards sustainable and cleaner energy sources.
