The Assam Cabinet has approved a ₹300-crore project by Fermbox Bio Pvt. Ltd. at Tezpur to produce specialised enzymes.
These enzymes will be used by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) for producing ethanol from bamboo, supporting Assam’s biofuel industry, bamboo economy and renewable-energy transition.
