The Assam Cabinet has approved 500 bighas of land at Rakhyasini Jungle Block, Goalpara, for an integrated renewable-energy project comprising 30 MW solar power and 25 MW/100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The project will combine solar generation with battery storage, enabling better management of intermittent renewable power and supporting a more reliable electricity supply. It marks a step towards Assam’s clean-energy transition and energy-storage capacity.
