The Assam Cabinet has approved enhanced Orunodoi assistance for flood-affected families:
- Sivasagar & Charaideo: ₹2,000 this month
- Other districts: ₹1,200 this month
Under Orunodoi 3.0, financial assistance is transferred directly to women’s bank accounts, with the eldest woman of the household generally designated as the primary beneficiary. This strengthens women’s role in household financial decision-making while supporting basic nutritional and household needs.
