Assam’s PDS has a distinctive cooperative-based supply network. GPSS (Gaon Panchayat Samabai Samity) function as village-level distribution hubs, while LAMPS (Large Scale Multipurpose Cooperative Societies) help serve difficult tribal and hilly areas.
