The Assam Cabinet has approved an investment package of around ₹50,000 crore for capital-intensive projects across the State. Funding will be mobilised through State resources, NABARD borrowings and Central government schemes.
The package focuses on primary healthcare, schools, Anganwadi centres, tea-garden worker housing, roads, power infrastructure and anti-flood embankments. It represents a major push towards strengthening Assam’s social infrastructure, connectivity and disaster resilience.
