Scientists from CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology discovered three new species of Berberis in Tawang and West Kameng districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
The newly identified species — Berberis pseudovirescens, Berberis orbicularis and Berberis tawangensis — have been described as new to science, highlighting the rich botanical diversity of the Eastern Himalayas.
