A Privilege Notice is a parliamentary mechanism used by Members of Parliament to raise issues involving breach of the privileges, rights or immunities of the House, its committees or individual members. Any act that obstructs, insults or undermines the authority and functioning of Parliament may be treated as a breach of privilege or contempt of the House.
