The proposed Institute for Transforming Arunachal Pradesh (ITA) is being developed through collaboration between the Arunachal Pradesh government and NITI Aayog.
The institute is envisioned as a state-level policy think tank designed to support evidence-based policymaking and long-term development planning suited to Arunachal Pradesh’s unique geographical, cultural and economic conditions. ITA is expected to assist in data-driven policy formulation, monitoring developmental indicators, institutional governance reforms and preparation of sustainable growth strategies.
The initiative comes amid Arunachal Pradesh’s increasing focus on infrastructure development, border area expansion, tourism, hydropower and entrepreneurship promotion.
