Around 84% of the Assam’s population who have ration cards will now get cashless treatment of upto Rs 5 lakh in best private and government hospitals of the country.
PM Narendra Modi will roll out the scheme on April 14, even as health officials said e-KYC verification is complete for over 1.1 crore people to avail of its benefits. The overall target is to cover 2.02 crore people of the state under the health insurance policy.
This scheme is an integration of PM’s Ayushman Bharat and CM’s Ayushman Assam schemes
beneficiary families will need to have to acquire a card for the purpose and the government will make ready such cards for 1.1 crore people of the state by April 14.
