The Assam government has approved an additional ₹200 per quintal for paddy procurement during the current Kharif Marketing Season (KMS), strengthening its support to farmers.
Under the revised arrangement, farmers will receive ₹2,640 per quintal, compared with ₹2,569 per quintal in the previous season. The measure aims to improve farm incomes and encourage farmers to sell their produce through the official procurement system.
