The Assam Cabinet has approved a one-time administrative framework covering vacancy years 2027 and 2028, along with unfilled vacancies from 2026, to speed up promotions across government departments.
With Personnel Department approval, departments may relax prescribed conditions relating to ACRs, qualifying service, age, experience and Annual Property Returns. The initiative aims to clear promotion backlogs and create fresh entry-level vacancies for new recruitment.
