On October 9, the Assam Cabinet adopted 75 resolutions acknowledging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contributions to Assam and the Northeast, covering infrastructure, industrialisation, healthcare, education, connectivity and peace. Major projects cited include the ₹27,000-crore semiconductor facility at Jagiroad, Numaligarh Refinery expansion and the proposed Gohpur–Numaligarh tunnel.
The resolution also highlighted Advantage Assam 2.0 investment commitments exceeding ₹5 lakh crore, the Namrup-IV fertiliser complex, peace agreements with Bodo, Karbi, Adivasi and ULFA groups, and AIIMS Guwahati. It noted the Charaideo Moidams’ UNESCO World Heritage status and Assamese receiving Classical Language status in 2024.
