Assam-origin Oil India Limited (OIL) has achieved its highest-ever daily production of 1,47,159 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), marking a significant milestone in India’s energy sector. The surge is attributed to intensive drilling of 73 wells, 300 workovers and enhanced operational efficiency.
The company also recorded 80,060 barrels of crude oil production in a single day—the highest in a decade. The achievement underscores Assam’s strong ecosystem, infrastructure and policy support in driving exploration and contributing to national energy security.
