Assam Lemon, a GI-tagged agricultural product of Assam, has been exported to Dubai with the facilitation of NERAMAC (North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited), marking a significant step in promoting Northeast India’s agricultural products in international markets.
Established in 1982 under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), NERAMAC works to support farmers by procuring, processing and marketing agricultural and horticultural produce. The export initiative highlights the growing global recognition of Assam’s quality produce and strengthens opportunities for farmers through improved market access and value realisation.
