If anyone has any grievances regarding the delivery of notified public services within the stipulated time frame, they can now appeal before the Assam State Commission for Right to Public Services.

The Assam government led by Himanta Biswa Sarma has decided to set up the ‘Right To Public Service Commission’ (RTPS) in the state to benefit the public.

RTPS Commission will enable the public to gain access to services which has not been completed in the stipulated time frame as allocated by the state government.

If a work has not been completed within the stipulated time then the public can approach the RTPS Commission and after the Commission will issue notice to government officials seeking an explanation on the same…and if it comes to the fore that the work/service have not been done due to sheer laziness then the person responsible with the task will have to pay a fine of Rs 100 each day.

As per reports, Chief Commissioner and the Commissioners shall be appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of a Committee consisting of the following members, namely– the Chief Minister, who shall be the Chairperson of the Committee; the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly; and a Cabinet Minister to be nominated by the Chief Minister

The Assam government on the occasion of Lok Kalyan Divas will be honouring 6 officials working under various state government departments with ‘Karmashree’ award for their exemplary and innovative work done in public administration.

The chief minister’s award for excellence in public administration – Karmashree is awarded to officials for innovation in public administration and outstanding implementation of government schemes, policies and programmes. 

Karmashree Award was instituted to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary, exemplary and innovative work done by the officers of the state government.

the state government will be honouring 75 government employees for state level and district level sewa puraskar for the year 2022-23 for their outstanding work in public administration.

While there are 10 employees who will be honoured with state level Lok Sewa Award 2023. There are 65 employees who will be honoured with  district level Lok Sewa Award 2023.

This is not at all abt license raj – It is about regulating imports to ensure trusted and verifiable systems AND  ensuring India tech eco-system uses trusted and verified systems only that are imported and/or domestically manufactured trusted systems or products

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the re-development of 32 railway stations across Assam on August 6 under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

A total of 91 stations of NFR have been identified under the Amrit Bharat station scheme. The foundation stone for the re-development of 56 stations will be laid on 06th August 2023. Out of 56 stations, there are 32 stations in Assam, 03 stations in Tripura, 16 stations in West Bengal, 03 stations in Bihar, and one station each in Nagaland and Meghalaya

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme has been launched recently for the development of Railway stations over Indian Railways. So far 1309 Stations over Indian Railways have been identified under this scheme for re-development

Rs 5100 crore has been allocated for the re-development of 91 stations under NFR of which 1960 crore will be utilized for the re-development of these 56 stations. 

This scheme envisages the development of stations on a continuous basis with a long-term approach. It involves the preparation of Master Plans and their implementation in phases to improve the amenities at the stations like improvement of station access, circulating areas, waiting halls, toilets, lift/escalators as necessary, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, kiosks for local products through schemes like ‘One Station One Product’, better passenger information systems, executive lounges, nominated spaces for business meetings, landscaping, etc. keeping in view the necessity at each such station. 

The scheme also envisages improvement of the building, integrating the station with both sides of the city, multimodal integration, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainable and environment-friendly solutions, provision of ballastless tracks, ‘Roof Plazas as per necessity, phasing and feasibility and creation of city centers at the station in the long term.

In the latest development, the commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) industry has witnessed a significant reduction in prices, bringing respite to consumers and businesses establishment alike. The decrease in LPG cylinder prices comes as a welcome relief amidst the backdrop of recent global economic challenges. According to the latest directive, the price of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders has been reduced by ₹99.75.
