The 43rd Abhiruchi Sports Day will be observed across Assam through a two-day programme, with the central celebration in Guwahati. The event celebrates the state’s sporting culture and recognises individuals who have contributed to Assam’s sports development.
The RG Baruah Award will be conferred on sports organiser Kamakhya Saikia, while mountaineer Rupamoni Gorh will receive the Outstanding Performance Award for her sporting achievement.
