The Assam Cabinet has raised the upper age limit for ex-servicemen applying for Grade III and Grade IV government posts from 42 to 45 years, expanding their eligibility for state government employment.
The Cabinet has also sanctioned ₹109.38 crore for providing free bicycles to Class IX students during the 2025–26 academic year, supporting student mobility and encouraging continued school attendance.
