The Assam Cabinet has approved a one-time exemption until March 31, 2027, allowing women members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) additional time to complete Aadhaar enrolment. The measure aims to prevent documentation gaps from delaying access to welfare benefits and bank loans.
For industrial development, the Cabinet has also approved 504 bighas of land in Hajo Revenue Circle for establishing a new Industrial Estate in Kamrup. The decision is expected to support industrial infrastructure and create a dedicated space for future investment and economic activity.
