- The project aims to transform bamboo from a traditional cottage industry into a modern value chain covering cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and digital marketing.
- The Northeast possesses 35.8% of India’s bamboo resources, spread over 5.34 million hectares, despite accounting for only 3.8% of the country’s population.
- The initiative is expected to enhance livelihoods, generate employment, promote sustainable industries, and strengthen the region’s bamboo-based economy.
