The Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Assam Government exchanged an MoU on November 2 to establish a Skill India International Centre in Assam. The initiative aims to strengthen the state’s skill development infrastructure and equip young people with industry-oriented competencies.
The centre will prepare candidates to meet international employment standards and improve their access to overseas job opportunities, with particular emphasis on tourism and hospitality. It is expected to enhance global workforce mobility among skilled youth from the region.
