Assam boxer Ankushita Boro clinched the gold medal in the 65 kg category at the 46th Tammer International Boxing Tournament held in Tampere, Finland, bringing international recognition to Assam’s sporting talent.
She had earlier won gold and the Best Boxer title at the 2017 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Guwahati. Her latest achievement follows Assam boxer Lovlina Borgohain’s gold-medal victory at the Asian Games.
