The Assam Cabinet has approved an increase in the upper-age relaxation for ex-servicemen applying for Grade III and Grade IV government posts from two years to five years beyond the prescribed general age limit.
The decision aims to improve employment opportunities for former defence personnel and facilitate their transition into civilian public service.
