International Relations
Iranian diplomats are engaging with representatives from the E3 countries—France, Germany, and the United Kingdom—for a fresh round of nuclear negotiations amid the looming threat of renewed sanctions. The E3, formed in 2003, began as a trilateral initiative to manage the strategic fallout of the Iraq invasion and respond to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Although informal, the E3 has remained a key European diplomatic forum for addressing security concerns related to Iran’s nuclear program. Their efforts focus on preventing nuclear proliferation in West Asia, balancing diplomacy with deterrence, and preserving regional and global stability.
