India has initiated preparations to evacuate its citizens from Iran amid rising instability and continuing nationwide protests. With the United States not ruling out possible military action against Tehran, concerns have intensified over the safety of nearly 12,000 Indians residing there.
In this context, the Government of India has launched Operation Swades to facilitate the safe return of Indian nationals from Iran.
