An organic fertilizer named Oorja was launched during the Fertilizer Distribution Camp for Kharif 2026, organised by the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Manipur in Imphal.
The initiative aims to promote sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices. To encourage adoption among farmers, Oorja is being provided at a subsidised price of ₹250 per bag against its market price of ₹480.
The programme supports efforts to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and promote sustainable agricultural development.
