Mizoram’s Tourism Department has been conferred the Emerging Eco & Nature Retreat Award at the 10th International Tourism Conclave & Travel Awards (ITCTA), held at Le Meridien, New Delhi.
This national recognition highlights Mizoram’s sustained commitment to promoting environmentally responsible tourism and conserving its pristine natural landscapes. The department has focused on building eco-tourism infrastructure, encouraging rural tourism, and showcasing local culture through various festivals since its inception in 1987 after its separation from the IPR&T Department.
