A 2-kilometer radius around the IOCL-Bongaigaon Refinery complex and its township in Dhaligaon now a ‘No Drone Zone.’
The directive, effective immediately, bans the operation of drones, paragliders, powered hang gliders, microlight aircraft, hot air balloons, UAVs, and similar aerial vehicles within the restricted zone.
The measure aims to safeguard the refinery and its surrounding township from threats, including those posed by anti-national elements. Security personnel stationed in the area are authorised to take decisive action, including shooting down unauthorised aerial objects, in case of violations.
