The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) proposed an interoperable LPG delivery system to address delays in cylinder supply and improve consumer convenience.
Under the plan, if a distributor fails to deliver a refill within 24 hours, the booking will be automatically redirected to the nearest available distributor, regardless of the oil marketing company. Customers of IOC, BPCL, or HPCL would thus benefit from a unified supply network.
The system will be rolled out in phases, starting with pilot projects in select urban and rural regions to test coordination and technology before nationwide expansion.
