Civil Registration System (CRS) mobile application for the registration of births and deaths
The CRS mobile app, prepared by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India, is expected to reduce the time required for registering births and deaths.
It will make the registration process for births and deaths seamless and hassle-free by allowing citizens to register at any time, from any place, using their state’s official language.
As per the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act, 2023, all reported births and deaths in the country occurring from October 1, 2023, are required to be digitally registered through the Centre’s portal at dc.crsorgi.gov.in.
