The Union Cabinet has approved the CoalSETU window, enabling the auction of coal linkages for diverse industrial uses as well as exports. The new framework is aimed at ensuring fair and transparent access to coal resources while promoting optimal utilisation of domestic coal.
CoalSETU is expected to support energy security, improve allocation efficiency, and meet the evolving demand of industries beyond the power sector.
