A multidisciplinary team of students from Tezpur University (TU) has garnered international recognition for their innovative use of the local fruit, Bael (wood apple), as a tea-like beverage.
They were selected as one of the top five teams out of 175 participants in the IEEE Smart Village (ISV) South Asia Working Group’s IdeaRun contest.
The team’s innovative idea, mentored by Dr. Rupam Goswami, has the potential to revolutionize rural entrepreneurship. By leveraging the abundant Bael fruit, the students aim to create a sustainable and profitable venture, that benefits local communities.
