Amazon India signed a MoU with the union labour ministry to post work opportunities at Amazon’s corporate offices and operations network on the National Career Service (NCS) portal

The collaboration will also involve job fairs at Model Career Centres (MCCs). It’ll also facilitate local hiring in fields such as logistics, technology and customer service.

Meanwhile, the ecommerce giant continues to face regulatory issues in the country. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has reportedly sought turnover details from Amazon and its rival Flipkart to determine the penalty to be imposed on them after the antitrust body found both the entities guilty of violating the country’s competition laws. The companies are facing a penalty of up to 10% of their global annual turnover.
