Researchers at the Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru, have demonstrated a certified randomness generation method using a single qubit on IBM’s cloud-based quantum computer.
This technique harnesses the inherent unpredictability of quantum mechanics to generate truly random numbers. Unlike classical systems, these quantum-generated numbers are impossible to reproduce or predict, offering enhanced security for cryptography and communication technologies.
