A high-level delegation headed by roads and buildings minister BC Janardhan Reddy visited Guwahati to study the road asset management system (RAMS) being implemented in Assam.

A. RAMS is system that is used to collect, manage and analyse data for road planning and programming purposes as well as to manage road related information.
B. road data/assets such as inventory and condition of road/bridge, traffic data, accident data would be collected and stored digitally, which are processed and analyzed for planning, development and maintenance of highways.
