The official theme song and the mascot ‘Peacko’ were unveiled by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi, marking the 30-day countdown to the BWF World Championships 2026. India will host the prestigious tournament from August 17 to 23, 2026, at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, after a gap of 17 years.
Inspired by the Indian peafowl, the mascot ‘Peacko’ features a skirt designed to resemble the opening of a badminton shuttlecock, symbolising India’s passion for badminton and promoting the championship’s identity on the global stage.
