Patrick A Rogers, noted for his work on Meghalaya’s living root bridges, has passed away, marking a loss to cultural and ecological documentation of the Northeast.

He initiated the Living Root Bridge Project to map and preserve these unique bio-engineered structures and authored The Green Unknown: Travels in the Khasi Hills, which brought global attention to the region’s indigenous knowledge and landscapes.
