Indian agencies achieved the country’s first-ever seizure of Captagon worth around ₹182 crore under Operation RAGEPILL.

Captagon is the street name historically linked to Fenethylline, a synthetic stimulant originally developed in the 1960s for treatment of conditions such as attention disorders and narcolepsy. The drug later became associated with illegal trafficking and organised crime networks due to its addictive stimulant effects.
