World Homeopathy Day is observed on April 10th every year. The theme for World Homeopathy Day 2024 is “Homeoparivar: One Health, One Family.”
India boasts prominent figures in the history of homeopathy, such as Dr. Mahendra Lal Sircar, who founded the first homeopathic college in Calcutta in 1881, and Dr. Mahendra Singh, who founded the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) in 1978.
Integration into Healthcare: Homeopathy has been integrated into India’s healthcare system, with government support for research, education, and practice. The CCRH, under the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy), conducts research and promotes homeopathy across the country.
