Gloria Gangte was appointed as India’s new Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway. A 2000-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, she earlier served as India’s High Commissioner to Malta.
Her appointment comes at a time when India is strengthening diplomatic engagement with Nordic countries in areas such as clean energy, technology cooperation and Arctic research. Norway is considered an important partner for India due to its expertise in renewable energy, innovation and sustainable development.
