The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued its first Purple Notice through INTERPOL. This category of notice is used to alert member countries about the modus operandi, tools, devices, and concealment techniques adopted by criminals.
Unlike Red Notices, which seek to trace and arrest individuals, Purple Notices focus on sharing information about criminal methods that threaten public safety. INTERPOL currently issues eight types of notices — Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, Green, Orange, Purple, and Silver (in pilot phase).
