The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has uncovered a clandestine factory in Valsad, Gujarat, manufacturing the psychotropic drug Alprazolam, seizing drugs worth ₹22 crore and arresting four individuals.
The bust was part of “Operation White Cauldron,” a nationwide anti-narcotics drive under the NDPS Act, 1985, targeting illicit drug manufacturing and synthetic narcotics trafficking.
The operation aims to dismantle inter-state drug syndicates, restrict the illegal trade of chemical precursors, and reinforce the goals of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan for a drug-free India.
