Assam will conduct Phase-I of Census 2027 from August 17 to September 15, 2026, while the self-enumeration facility through the official census portal will be available from August 2 to August 16.
To ensure smooth implementation, the Directorate of Census Operations, Assam has appointed two national trainers, 59 master trainers and 1,109 field trainers for cascading training programmes. Nearly 83,535 enumerators and supervisors, including reserve personnel, will be deployed across the state during Phase-I operations.
