The Assam Cabinet has decided to expedite the flood damage assessment process to ensure that financial assistance reaches affected people within August. The move aims to accelerate relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-hit areas through timely verification and disbursement of aid.
The Cabinet has also approved financial assistance of ₹2–3 lakh for the repair of educational institutions damaged by the floods, helping restore educational infrastructure and resume academic activities.
