grants to 11480 schools have been held back as some teachers from these schools have not updated their staff profiles on the Siksha Setu portal.
out of 2,42,114 teaching and non-teaching staff in 45983 government and provincialized schools, a total of 2,08,531 have updated their profile on the Siksha Setu.

Assam Government to undertake the redevelopment of the revered Bhimashankar Jyotirling Complex. With a total investment of Rs. 46 crore, the initiative aims to provide devotees and yatris with a seamless darshan experience of their beloved deity during the holy month of Saawan.
Located in Pamohi, Guwahati, the Bhimashankar Dham Jyotirlinga is a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Mahadev. The naturally formed trimukh shivalinga, representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwar, attracts thousands of devotees seeking the blessings of Mahadev.
Previous developments included the construction of essential facilities such as toilet blocks, an RCC bridge, and garden beautification.
In the upcoming phases of the complex’s development, various amenities have been proposed, including an entrance gate, Pujari cave, walkway development, Yatri Novas, and a watchtower. These additions aim to further enhance the experience for devotees and yatris.

The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) introduced a new transit service on July 3 to link Guwahati’s LGBI airport with multiple locations within the city with the aim to offer budget-friendly travel and easy movement for travellers.
The new travel services have provided hassle-free communication from Khanapara and Paltan Bazaar to the airport and vice versa.
Since its establishment, ASTC has been providing services in Guwahati for the past ten years. It is a cost-efficient choice for the passengers. Nevertheless, the recent addition of the service hopes to accommodate a wide section of the population while cutting down on travel duration and costs.
Besides, the establishment of an ASTC airport bus counter beyond the airport hopes to ease travel experience for passengers
It is to be mentioned that the ASTC airport bus service resumes at 6 am from Khanapara bus stand, which is located on the outskirts of the city, and another from Paltan Bazar ASTC bus stand at 7 am. The buses also ply at regular intervals of every two hours on daily basis till 6 pm.

Special grants to schools which failed to provide complete information about staff have been put on hold, with salaries of such employees to be stopped in next two months
Around 4.50 lakh ghost students in government and private schools were detected in the state in June during reconciliation of enrolment figures with that of the previous year.
