In a major initiative to strengthen digital financial inclusion and women empowerment, 71 DigiPay Sakhis were distributed laptops at Amingaon under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission.
The DigiPay Sakhi initiative aims to accelerate Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), reduce dependence on intermediaries and improve transparency in welfare delivery at the grassroots level. The programme is also expected to enhance digital literacy, expand banking access in rural areas and create livelihood opportunities for women associated with Self-Help Groups across Assam.
