International E-Waste Day is held on October 14 every year as an opportunity to reflect on the impacts of e-waste. Slogan: ‘Recycle it all, no matter how small!’. Started by: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Forum (since 2018.) Opium toffee goes green

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Hoshiarpur Literary Society has collaborated with the Punjab Forest Department to plant saplings in their endeavour to eliminate the carbon footprint of Khushwant Singhs upcoming novel, The Opium Toffee.Every publishing activity leads to the release of greenhouse gases, and the major contributors are carbon dioxide and methane.
