Filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan’s drama Homebound did not secure a nomination in the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards. Inspired by Basharat Peer’s New York Times article “Taking Amrit Home”, the film features Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor, with Martin Scorsese attached as executive producer.
The final nominees include Brazil’s The Secret Agent, France’s It Was Just an Accident, Norway’s Sentimental Value, Spain’s Sirat and Tunisia’s The Voice of Hind Rajab. The ceremony will be held on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre.
