Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society will confer the prestigious Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award 2026 on Tony Koyu for his contributions to literature and language development in Arunachal Pradesh.

Tony Koyu is widely recognised as the creator of Tani Lipi, regarded as the first indigenous script developed for the Tani tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. Using the script, he has written novels, poems, short stories and articles in the Galo language along with works in Hindi and English.
