Published by Westland, the book connects his political journey with Mizoram’s wider transformation.
Hazarika traces the State’s turbulent years of insurgency, the shadow of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, the peace process and subsequent development efforts. Thus, Lal Thanhawla’s career becomes a lens to understand Mizoram’s political evolution and post-conflict consolidation.
